Russia just cleared the floor against U.S. women and drew a huge ovation from home crowd. Americans had two stones in trailing by 1, now nothing.
Making matters worse, Russia could be up 3 heading into the 10th if U.S. can't knock at least one stone out here.
And Russia with an emphatic end to the 9th end. U.S. women curlers trail 9-6 heading into the 10th, on the verge of falling to 0-2.
U.S. women curlers are in trouble. The American women slopestyle skiers, however, are looking strong. Julia Krass and Devin Logan are both already qualified for the finals and Keri Herman still has a shot.
Right now 10 of the 12 finals spots for the women's slopestyle are claimed. Keri Herman still waiting to see if she'll make the cut.
As of right now, Herman will advance.
And Keri Herman is in for the slopestyle finals. All three Americans advance.
And as Michael C. Lewis of the Salt Lake Tribune has pointed out, yes, there have been some mega crashes during these slopestyle trials. No serious injuries though.
