@BARRY: Barry, I would advise anyone who utilizes canal water in that area for anything where it may come in contact with humans or pets to hold off until the advisory is removed.
@LinoDilger: Lino, so far none of the ocean beaches have been affected and there is no advisory in place. If that changes, we will keep you apprised
@paul1022: The volume of water being released from the lake is too high to treat in a timely fashion, and unfortunately, boiling the water at home does not remove or destroy the toxins.
@sciguy: In July, the FL Dept of Environmental Protection and the FL Dept of Health announced the adoption of the first restoration plan for the St. Lucie River and Estuary with local governments investing $230 million to address stormwater runoff in particular.
