That is the last time J. Bisset wins anything, I promise you. "We can't pick her. Remember the Globes?"
In the control room at GGs: "OK, let's get this shit back on track. Everybody focus!"
I guess I shouldn't have told Jackie Bisset that she could watch the Niners game with me. Sorry, everybody.
Whoa, that woman in this commercial is anorexic.
20 minutes in: Two awards, one fantastic opening segment by Tina and Amy.
GGs got off to an awesome start. In football parlance, Fey and Poehler were back to back TDs. But then J. Bisset just fumbled it into the end zone. This awards show will need to rally.
Was any of that understandable?
By the way, my theory that at least one aging star will come on stage at an awards show and do something delusional, confusing, drunk or insane remains solid.
I like both of those stars. Ruffalo is fearless.
Miniseries or TV movie. I got this.
Behind the Candelabra will win, BUT…
I like Top of the Lake. It was better.
"Behind the Candelabra" wins best TV miniseries or movie.
As I said, but ToL was better. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's amazing. And yes, BtC was also very good.
God, looking at that ballroom all I can think about is how many TCA press tours I've sat in there. Every time they walk by a seat I say, "I sat there. I sat there. I sat there, too."
Ah, Quentin and Nancy got some love. #Publicists
Go watch Top of the Lake. Really.
Actress in miniseries or TV movie. I got this too. Easy. Elisabeth Moss.
Elisabeth Moss ("Top of the Lake") wins best actress in TV miniseries or movie.
I'm Kaepernicking in my hotel room right now. I just need more tats and bigger biceps.
DID YOU KNOW: The first national telecasts of the awards were during a special segment on “The Andy Williams Show” in 1964 and 1965.
She said "shit" in case you didn't hear it. Just doing my job.
Helen Mirren was also really great, btw.
OK, now that Moss has won, will you please rent or stream Top of the Lake?
OH, sure, they play off Moss but let Jackie Bisset do a filibuster.
Matt Damon is talking about Captain Phillips. Here is the trailer.
"It's me, the garbage man." Matt Damon. I've always really loved this guy. Funny, solid, nice, etc.
