If u fall behind on your maint. fees, do they have to notify you & give you a chance to catch up before foreclosing or can they foreclose without your knowledge, providing that your mort. is up-to-date? I didn't get the answers to the first question I asked bcuz I couldn't find the live stream but now I'm good. Thx!

My husband and I just want to lower our interest rate on our 1st and only mortgage. We both have very stable jobs but are severely underwater on our condo. Our lender won't do anything. We pay on time every month, have never been late since we bought in 2006 (very bad time to buy!!). We want to move, but can't get rid of this place. Is there anything we can do?

Can you modify your loan if you are in an active bankruptcy?

Thanks so much! If we didn't want to move (stable income and on time) would we qualify for new HARP in Feb?

You're welcome, Katie. I will ask...

Thank you guys so very much for answering my questions. I found this to be very helpful and appreciate ur time!! Now, even tho I'm in a lot of pain...physically...at least I know that there is help out there...financially. If it helps you to know you actually relieved a lot of anxiety that was building up in reference to these very important issues. Have a great week-end. :-)

what if your mtg company just will not work with you??
by Lori1/27/2012 11:24:00 PM
Yes thank you as well. It does give me a little ease knowing that i will get notified in mail before someone is knocking on my door. That alone was helpful. God Bless!

Has 2 mortgages, 1st not underwater, but the HELOC 2nd makes it underwater in total, no plan to move, never late in 9 years, very good credit (730+ and high 700's joint owner), is the Harp or similar a solution - and...is there a reason to have a better negotiating position with current lender or shop around
by Jim1/27/2012 11:24:57 PM
I lost 8 offers on my house and I sadly had to file bankruptcy. The new mortgage offer from the bank is over $2000,00 which is way beyond what I can afford. I am in St Lucie County..is there anything I can do ??

It appears that questions are being asked yet I do not see the answers. Is this my browser or is it set up by design to answer individually?
